Web Design &
Development
More than ten years ago I
built my first Web site. And, ten years later, it’s still
all about the content and not letting your Web site exist in
a vacuum. “Build it and they will come” does not
apply to the Internet. You have to constantly reach out to
people who need or want what you have to offer,
create user confidence, keep your audience and continue to
bring them back.
Some examples of my work
include the following:
-
corporate/organizational
sites
-
blog design
-
Social Media marketing (Facebook,
Twitter, etc.)
-
one-off brand ID/product
launch
-
intranets
-
extranets
-
e-commerce (online
merchant abilities)
-
Internet marketing
-
forums/contact gathering
initiatives

What
I’ve Learned:
Don’t underestimate the power of the Internet for FREE
marketing and publicity. Online viral marketing and
grassroots campaigns have become my specialties over the
years. For example, I garnered huge print placement success
for a book titled This is Chick-Lit. But the real
success ensued when we had bloggers (male and female) abuzz
with the argument against the “rival” book This is Not
Chick-Lit. More than a year after the release of the
book, people are still getting in on the conversation, and
yes, buying copies of This is Chick-Lit. What was the
initial cost of the campaign? A little time researching and
sending e-mails to popular culture and book bloggers and
postage for sending the book for review. |
